Happy Trails Group meets to hike nature trails across the Indy area on the 3rd Friday in ODD months. Participants need to be able to hike intermediate level trails - which means uneven terrain, moderate inclines and switchbacks - for approximately 1 hour. No dogs allowed.
What: Get outdoors, explore Indy’s nature trails, and enjoy lively conversation!
When: Friday, May 15 at 2-4pm - trail conditions & weather permitting
Where: Eagle Creek Park; please note there is a $6 entrance fee for Marion County residents and an $8 entrance fee for residents of other counties. Enter the park from 56th street or 71st street, park at “Lilly Lake South Lot.” We will hike portions of the red & blue trails, to the Ornithology Center and around the Bird Sanctuary. This hike will be on the more challenging end of the skill level spectrum with steeper inclines, stairs, and rough terrain.
