Our History
This group was formed in response to an identified need to provide opportunities for incoming international women to meet fellow newcomers and Americans. The focus was to develop welcoming structures and activities for individuals who are interested in celebrating cultural diversity, developing international fellowship, sharing their heritage, having cultural ties to other countries and an interest in international exchange.
Organization Name
1990 - Founded as the International Women’s Club of Indianapolis
1992 - Incorporated as Association of International Women (AIW) Inc.
2017 - Renamed International Women Indiana (IWI) in 2017.
