What: Egypt-Temples and Tombs and Tut and Tuk Tuks! Oh my!
Have you ever dreamed of sailing on the Nile like Cleopatra? Have you imagined exploring deep in the 4000-year-old tombs of the Pharaohs? Would you like to stand staring up and up and up at the Great Pyramids? Do you hope to marvel at the exhibits of the new Great Egyptian Museum? Or perhaps you’d like to talk with a teacher in Cairo about women’s rights in Egypt, meet a farmer and his family for lunch and conversations about rural life, or talk with a mango crate maker. If you’d like to do these things but can’t travel to Egypt now, you can join us for the Globe Trekkers (formerly Travel Forum) in September. Bonnie Pribush will share photos and stories from the three-week trip that she and her husband took in January. They traveled from the shores of the Mediterranean to just 50 miles from the Sudanese border. Bonnie will talk about the history, the land, current issues, and the views of a variety of Egyptians.
